Fourth of July Activities on Cape Cod
The Fourth of July on Cape is an awesome experience. Some of the best activities include fireworks and parades, there's something to do for everyone in the family. Some Cape fireworks shows are voted as the top Independence Day displays in the country. From marching bands to creative floats and old cars, The Cape Cod Fourth of July parades never fail to disappoint. Check out this guide to see the dates and locations of some iconic cape experiences.
Fireworks:
June 28 - Mashpee
The Mashpee festivities will begin at 5:00 pm and the fireworks start at 9:00 PM. There will be live music, a K-9 dog show, face painting, train rides, and more. This will take place at Mashpee Middle School’s athletic field.
June 29 - Sandwich
Sanwich’s 4th of July fireworks are scheduled to go off at 9:00 PM at the Henry T. Wing School.
July 2 - Chatham
Chatham’s fireworks display will be set off at 9:00 PM as well, but activities start as early as 6:00 PM.
July 2 - Orleans
The firework display in Orleans will take place at dusk at Rock Harbor.
July 4 - Provincetown
P-town will have put their firework display on at MacMillan Pier around dusk.
July 4 - Falmouth
Voted one of the best firework displays in the country by Travel and Leisure Magazine. This display takes place on Falmouth Heights Beach and starts at roughly 9:00 PM.
Parades:
July 4 - BarnstableStarting at 9:00 PM, A 1.2 mile parade will travel east on Route 6A, and return to the county parking lot.
July 4 - Chatham
The Chatham 4th of July parade is one of the oldest Independence Day parades in the country. Starting at 9:30 along Main Street.
July 4 - Centerville
The parade starts at 10:30 a.m. Participants are encouraged to sport their red white, and blue, dogs are also welcome.
July 4 - Cotuit
Beginning at 11 AM, the Cotuit parade starts at the post office and proceeds down Main Street.
July 4 - Orleans
The Orleans parade will begin at 10 AM and start from Eldredge Park and end in the NRMS parking lot for judging and awards.
July 4 - Provincetown
Starting at 11 AM, the P-town parade will occur on Commercial Street.
July 4 - Sandwich
Also known as the "Spirit of Sandwich" parade kicks off at 10:30 AM from the Henry T. Wing School.
July 4 - Wellfleet
The classic car portion of the Wellfleet parade starts at 9:30 AM, and the float part starts at 10 AM. Both start at the Town Pier and finish up at the Pier as well.
